Night #1 of The National Week

Getting the band back together!

I miss Chicago.

Don't get me wrong, I am excited for The National wherever it is. However, we left my house by 6am. Our flight took off at 9:06am. In that 3 hour time frame, we would have already been pulling into Rosemont for the show when it is in Chicago. The planning for this Atlantic Trip took several hours in and of itself. Here is the travel log of the day:

6am left the house

9am takeoff from Indy

11am landed in Newark, NJ

12pm college roommate and realtor legend Connor Ebersole picked us up at the airport and drove us down to Atlantic City

1:30pm drove around aimlessly looking for a good restaurant (failed)

2pm sat down at The Yard in our hotel for lunch (not recommended)

3pm got in line for check-in

3:30pm finally got into the room

6pm dinner with the card family (The Yard...again...not recommended)

8:30pm walked the boardwalk with the Indy Card Exchange team

9pm back to the hotel

In case you were wondering, this was not the timeline we had planned, but it was a great day all in all!

Card Family

We are so very blessed to have great friends in the sports cards industry. If you are on Instagram, you have most likely seen some of our squad posting the "Hot Corner" graphic. It really is an awesome group of dudes, collectors, entrepreneurs. I have enjoyed so many meals and moments with this crew and learned a ton from them along the way. Make sure you are following us on Instagram to see us tag all of them in our IG story! Andy has been doing a great job of posting moments of our trip.

**we still have 100+ auctions ending this week on our eBay store**

Tomorrow is the biggest day of the week.

Believe it or not, the craziest day for dealers is not the day that has the biggest crowds. On Wednesday, dealers can and will get into the showroom around 8am. We finish setting up, getting things done across the show (grading, supplies, etc), and making connections with other dealers. VIP early entry comes in around 3:30pm and the whole "Sneak Peek" event ends around 8pm. Its nearly a 12 hour day for us vendors! It feels silly to call it work when we love it so much, but we will definitely be exhausted by the end of the night!
